Runa Laila (born 1952) is a Bangladeshi playback singer and composer who started her career in the Pakistani film industry in the late 1960s. Known as the “Queen of melody” in South Asia, she holds a Guinness World Record for recording 30 songs in just three days. She gained immense popularity with the song “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar” and has sung in seventeen different languages. She has won numerous Nigar Awards in Pakistan (1968, 1970) and Bangladesh’s Ekushey Padak.
