Mehnaz Begum (1958–2013) was a versatile Pakistani TV, radio, and film playback singer known for her mastery of classical genres like ghazal and thumri. She trained under her mother, singer Kajjan Begum, and the great Mehdi Hassan. Her melodic voice made her an instant hit in the 1970s and 1980s, with famous songs like “Mujhe Dil Se Na Bhulana”. She was a recipient of 13 Nigar Awards and a Lux Style Award for Lifetime Achievement.
