Nayyara Noor (1950–2022), known as Bulbul-e-Pakistan (Nightingale of Pakistan), was a beloved playback and ghazal singer. Despite having no formal training, her innate talent was discovered in college, leading to a distinguished career in television and film. Famous for singing the poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, she received the Nigar Award, the Pride of Performance (2006), and the official title of Bulbul-e-Pakistan. She retired from singing in 2012 to focus on her family life.
