★ Naseem Begum  Biography

Naseem Begum (1936–1971) was a famous Pakistani film playback singer, often called “The Tragedy Queen” due to her emotive and sorrowful songs. She rose to prominence in the late 1950s and quickly became a sought-after voice, winning four Nigar Awards between 1960 and 1964. She was the original singer of the popular patriotic song “Aye Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo” and received the Pride of Performance award in 1965. She tragically died young during childbirth complications at age 35.
