One of Pakistan’s first female naat khawans (reciters of poetry in praise of the Prophet Muhammad), recognized throughout the Islamic world for her melodious and spell-binding recitations for over four decades. She was trained solely by her father, Qari Fakhrul Hasan Rizvi, and resides in Chicago, Illinois. She was awarded the Pride of Performance in 2001 for her devotion to the field of milaad-un-nabi.
