Gul Bahar Bano is a prominent Seraiki ghazal singer who began her career in the 1970s at Radio Pakistan, Bahawalpur. Trained in classical singing by Ustad Mohammad Afzal Khan, she became famous nationally after singing the popular Urdu ghazal “Chahat mein kya duniya dari ishq mein kesi mujboori”. Her soulful voice and dedication to her craft were officially recognized when she received the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in 2007.
