Muhammad Alam Lohar (1928–1979) was a world-renowned Punjabi folk singer and a blacksmith by birth, known for his unique stage presence where he often sang while holding a chimta (a traditional instrument). He began singing Sufiana Kalaam from childhood and became famous for reciting traditional Punjabi stories and poetry. He is the father of the current popular folk singer Muhammad Arif Lohar.
