Shaukat Ali (1944–2021) was a prominent Pakistani folk and patriotic singer known for his powerful, wide vocal range. He began his career in college and was a popular playback singer in films. His patriotic songs became instantly famous during the 1965 War. He was given the title “Voice of Punjab” by the Indian Punjab government and the Pride of Performance by the Pakistani government in 1990.
