The Arid Zone was a Karachi-based Pakistani band formed in 1992 by Yasir Akhtar, Kamran Jelani, and Shareb Jaffer. They released their single and only album through EMI Pakistan in 1993, which featured the popular hit single “Milan”. The band eventually broke up in 1997, after which Yasir Akhtar continued a solo career.
