Nighat Akbar refers to different individuals. One is a notable women’s champion, public speaker, and producer who uses storytelling to highlight social issues like mental health (in the film Darya Kay Iss Paar) and child labour (Gunjal). There is also an artist named Nighat Akbar known for working in film music departments in the 70s and 80s, and a politician of the same name affiliated with the PTI party.
